I agree. It is not a part of modern society that I would be proud to represent.

What's most surprising to me, though, is that they're actually proud of the fact that they've done such things. These are very intelligent individuals--they're among the smartest at my high school. The fact that they'd participate in these activities despite knowing their adverse effects on the body baffles me. I guess teenagers are just idiots...

Edit: Sorry, my previous message contained spoilers. Anyway, it's a fairly popular anime series based off a series of PC games: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni ("When They Cry"). Basically, I found out who murdered a certain character in the Curse Killing arc of the first season (episodes 9 - 13; probably my favorite episodes because they center around Satoko).

Not having watched the second season yet, it was a fairly major spoiler, considering the identity and motives of the perpetrator hadn't been revealed.

I wouldn't necessarily refer to him as the easiest character to identify with; the majority of my classmates disliked him, despite few outright loathing him. Rather, I think it was due to the fact that, if placed in a similar situation, I would largely embody Piggy's role in the events that transpired--

--including the fact that I would be ineffectual at doing anything be aggravating the contention between civilization and its primordial tendencies.

The twisted facet of the story is that it involves children, boys to be exact.

More mature persons, like you and me, would face different issues. The boys wanted cowboy and indian violence. Mature adults, rather than risk life and injury, would be much more conniving and less brute in approach. (Therefore, you might be more influential than you think.) Would you agree?

Wait, I'm confused. Do you prefer English dubs or subs? Trigun is available in both forms, although only the subtitled version can be accessed for free without a Netflix subscription, since the version released on Netflix is dubbed.
