Looking around at prices for the console and they seem to all be the same atm around £170 in the UK. I am looking to trade in my 3DS for it if there will be a good deal for this, however if there is a good price for it I may consider buying it and trade my 3DS later somewhere else. Anyone else found some good deals yet or any stores talking about trade-in deals? This forum is not about whether or not you will be getting one just to be clear, lots of people have reasons not to get it, but for those that are thinking about it you might want to check this forum out, since I will post any good prices that pop up
What I am wondering for trade in's, is what if you have the original $250 3DS? Will you get like a $170 return? Or would it be like $130 as if you bought the marked down price?
Probably the worst deal around is getting about $60 for your 3ds as a trade in for the XL. When I traded in my DS lite, I got 40$ (Was 10$ less because it was damaged). No way am I trading it in for only 60$.
Its up to the stores to decide how much you get for trading in, different stores will offer different trade-in values. Game stores have in the past made trade in deals so you can upgrade to the newest model for a smaller price, I traded in my DS lite for the DSi and only paid about £20 pounds because they offered it as an update deal, and I think the same happened in stores for the DSi XL, so I'll be looking out for it if they are doing this this time around.
I'm going to give GAME a call tomorrow and ask them what trade-in deals they will be doing on the 3DS. Amazon was doing a £54 trade-in on the 3DS, but their prices changes like the wind. Ebay would be the best place to sell it and get the best price. EDIT: Amazon is now doing a £63.85 trade-on on the 3DS. Depends on the colour.
This isn't related to the 3DS XL directly, but at the moment, GAME are doing a deal where you can earn up to £50 for console trade ins, at the moment, you can get around £80 for the 3DS compared to around £64. I think this deal ends on the 12th July. So if you were to trade it in for the 3DS XL, you would probably have to pay around £90, but they may have a better deal closer to the 3DS XL's Release date Hope this helps http://www.game.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...toreId=10151&cm_sp=tradein-_-topnav-_-tradein
Maybe they value your work on here highly, add it to your CV £90 seems too steep for me. There is plenty of other tech I'm buying this year, and I don't think it'll be plausible for me to get the XL at 90.
Do you still have to pay the rest of the money? Also I know a site called CEX where you can check how much they will give you for a certain game or console, CEX is an electronics store that has lots of new and old games and consoles etc.
hmm, 105 is good, but tbh we'd have to pay a minimum of £65 extra, and then I personally would have to buy a charger/.dock as well. I'm not sure if this is value for money
It depends if all you want is a charger, then you can pick one up on Ebay for about £3. If you want a charging dock, your looking at £20 on top of the 3DS price. I have heard of CEX, but never been on that site. I'll check it out. As for GAME, I will wait and see how much they'll be selling the system for. They couldn't give me a price, only a price for the trade-in. EDIT: Just now checked out CEX. They would give £69 for a boxed 3DS. And £86 for exchange. It seems to depend on the colour of the 3DS too.
Hmmm Ok. CEX has loads of games probably more than GAME. All consoles heaps of games and other electronics if you find one near you, you should buy games from there.
