I stopped using them years ago thanks to their insane prices. If i want a PC game i use steam, PS3 i go to CEX or get it new online. Yeah they do have to raise 180 mil in a week and 22mill or 11 of that is staff wages they owe.... Wallmart are big contenders to buy them out now apparently and they started closing stores today nationwide in the UK. Gamestation here in Luton is already up for rent and closed. I saw them smoking the windows last week to stop people looking in.
If someone does not buy them (i think wall mart probably will) all of the stores will close i imagine. Currently i think they are closing 100-200 stores i cant remember.
100 200 Also I don't believe what you said about Gamestation they seem to be doing fine where I live they are getting new games in and no information has said about gamestation closing.
yeah check out CEX its pre owned only but a lot of the time they get in new games and just remove the wrapping and sell them as 2nd hand or have them new behind the counter. Gamestation are now owned by the GAME group after the bought the company from Blockbuster. The one here in Luton is up for rent and empty now sadly :[
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamestation#Sale_to_GAME It's super easy to check facts on the internet rather than speculate
I walked into my local GAME store today. There was so many empty shelfs, with hardly any 3DS games in stock. I think it's quite sad to see this happen, but if their items wasn't so over priced, then this wouldn't have happened. They just can't compete against supermarkets and online stores. The only time I use GAME is when a new big games console comes out and I'm wanting to trade my old one in for it. That's what I will miss mostly about GAME. Apart from that I buy most of my gaming items online. R.I.P GAME!
