Mine wobbles slightly if I deliberately shake it, but other than that it's absolutely fine.

I said yes, will be taking mine back tomorrow. The hing i thought was ok, but through out the day it has got worse and worse :(

Playing Face Raders is when i really notice as the top screen keeps dropping forward and backwards, so compleatly puts you off when playing.

I have a feeling this hinge thing could come back and smack Ninty on the arse.

Both demo units had this problem (I tried saying at the time but was shot down by some fan-boys). My 3DS has the same issue although currently it is not that bad as to bother me.............here's hoping.

Agree mate, playing normal games is fine, but playing games where you have to move around just makes the top screen wobble like crazy, and if it is like this now, what is it going to be like in a month from now :(

If I get this problem, I could tighten it myself like I did with my DS. As long as Nintendo doesn't have a warranty sticker anywhere.

I've said yes, but I didn't read the first post properly. Mine wobbly a little if you shake it slightly or if you wobble it by hand. It's fine when playing Face Raiders though. I'll see how it goes, but I am definitely a little worried about the long term life of the hinge.

    Well, the saga continues!

Just got back from Sainsburys, who were fantastically helpful. They changed the 3ds, so when I got back to the car I opened up the new one, and the hinge was exactly the same. I took it back in and explained, and they go another one for me to try in store. I opened it up, and voila, wobbly hinge, although not as bad as the original one.

In the end, we went through three blue ones and 2 black ones, and they were all pretty much the same. I ended up choosing the one with the least wobbbly hinge, so it doesnt move quite as much now, but it looks as if they are all the same. I was expecting it to be more like the DSi / DSiXL, which are pretty dang tight. Obviously, it seems as if the 3ds ones are just a lot looser. Sigh.

ANyway, Im back now, and have a new friend code - its in my sig.

    Phew.

Absolutely no problem for me. Mine is as tight as a nun. I can't believe people are having so many issues!
