After seeing E3, what are your thoughts on Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon? I watched a couple gameplay videos, and I noticed that it has a lot of puzzles compared to the original, which is good to me. Overall, it looks great in my opinion. I also like how there's a 3DS like menu object to replace the Gameboy Horror. This game really does look fun, but what are your opinions on it?
Definitely going to try and get my hands on it, it looks very promising I just wish they kept the style of the ghosts the same, in the original they seemed more scary whereas in Dark Moon they look too cartoony
It looks very good! But I think that the "stun-ghost-with-light-thingy" is a stupid idea.I would love if the way to kill ghost was the same as the Game Cube version.
I pre-ordered my copy yesterday. Can't wait for it. Really? Luigi's Mansion LM: DM Or are you talking about portrait ghosts? As far as I know, no portrait ghosts have been shown in their final form yet....
Luigi's Mansion really entertained me when I was younger for about a year. I really love the horror brought into a Nintendo game. I hope the potrait ghosts are the same as in the original. I also hope they still use creepy, spooky things. I'm not really put up to date if it's shown, but I wonder what the final boss would be. This game seems promising.
I thought the first one was a lot of fun with this one it looks like a lot of fun. I like the fact that it's longer and the normal ghosts look very different from the original and with the knights, mummies and those terrifying spiders this could be an even scarier version of the original. I do wonder how tough these portrait ghosts will be to defeat, they all have a weakness.
They've only shown one portrait ghost so far, and it was in last year's E3 trailer. I don't remember the name, but he had telechinetic abilities. I don't mind the new look of the ghosts. I'm just happy that they're making a sequal.
Yup, that was last year. He was a bit cartooney, but I hope they changed his looks a bit, so that he still looks like a portrait ghost. Then again, we did defeat Vincent Van Ghoul, so maybe he's not even painting ghosts anymore?
I hope the game doesn't rely on Gyroscopic controls, but I doubt that it would lol --- merged: Jun 8, 2012 9:26 PM --- In the sequel, the ghosts look smoother, but in the original, they are more jagged giving them a more eerie look
Eh I'm not picking this up until there's a price drop. There are some games around fall I want, like Fire Emblem and Paper Mario. Maybe I'll buy this in January or February where there are usually few notable games released.
Very excited for this one, the only thing I'm worried about is if it can be varied enough to not get repetitive. Is the cartoony look of the ghosts really important? It's not really trying to be scary, it's trying to be like ghostbusters
Good point, exactly. This game is not supposed to be that creepy. If you want to be creeped out, there's a game called Resident Evil Revelations.
