Would you buy it? I soooo would! I am a huge fan of the MK games and this series would look amazing in 3D. Here is a video of a port of MK9 coming out for the PSVita this Spring:

I know the 3DS wouldn't be able to pull of those graphics, but the little Nintendo system could definitily come close. :mk: I really want an awesome fighting game for 3DS, but Tekken, Dead or Alive, and Street Fighter have never really been my kind of game. Mortal Kombat is my favorite. :p

the 3DS can pull of those graphics, Netherrealm didnt even bother with the graphics, ther are barely any polygons and the textures are bad, but I don't see a mortal Kombat coming for the 3DS, maybe a Mortal Kombat 10 in the next few years

Dude, the graphics on MK9 are amazing. Some of the best I have seen on any game. Sadly, the 3DS definitely can't pull them off. I also didn't mean a direct port of 9, maybe just release a version of 10 on the 3DS.

I've enjoyed playing MK before, but it is just a bit too unnecessarily bloodthirsty for my liking (this is no exception, wiping the blood off the screen). No thanks! Luv SSFIV and am considering getting DoA soon, probably get Tekken l8er too.

Haha, I didn't know you were a fan. You should get MK on PS3 and then we can play eachother. :)

@KitBliss- Yeah, it can be a little bloody, but most teenage guys like me like that! xD I think the blood on the screen is a little ridiculous though.

I know, PS3 games are expensive. I got my copy for $20 from Amazon on Black Friday brand new.

But back on topic to the 3DS MK. :)

Well, I think if 3ds can pull off something like Resident Evil and make it pretty darn good, I think they could do the same for Mortal Kombat

I haven't played Mortal Kombat yet, so I don't know, but any new 3DS game would be good...

If it was I wonder if you would have to use circle pad pro.

Probably not; Mortal Kombat only needs one--if any. I prefer to use the control pad. :p Works better for combos.

I'd use the anolog stick after a while it hurts my finger using the d-pad.

Yeah, on the 3DS it would probably be better to use the circle pad. The control pad on the 3DS seems to stiff, and not very "buttony" like the Wii's and PS3's. :/

I know I played a game that you had to use the D-pad, because it was a remake from the PSP.

No the console version is great, but the PS Vita version in the video is mediocre, the Vita can pull of much better visuals...

Oh, I see what you are saying. Still, those Vita graphics are pretty good!

@Dewott- You definitely should. What console do you have: PS3, 360, or Vita? Those are the only systems it is available on. :p
