Let's talk about music :b. Mitchs headbanging from suicide silence is utter magic :3. You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby... the fact 90% of his body is covered in ink is pretty cool as well :b. Can't believe what happened to Pixie Lott, she's become one of the typical artists I hate. "I went out last night, danced with some random dude and drank a lot, the end." That is why I can't stand most pop/rap. (Rap tends to have sex and drugs thrown in there as well). Sure, Deathcore may be about being zombies or killing people. But at least it's not "Only meaning to life is going to a club, dancing, drinking, taking drugs and then having sex with some girl I've never met before." End of my rant.
Deathcore, Death Metal that is entirely composed of gutterals growls and screams. They're an amazing band <3. The lead singer is the nicest guy ever and he has really cute dimples, plus, his tattoo's are amazing.
To be honest I would much rather listen to an artist like Pixie Lott than Suicide Silence. I listened to one of their songs and no offence Haha-No, but I hated it. Pixie Lott can actually sing well and is much better to listen to than some guy screaming into a microphone. She also looks pretty good... Can you please explain exactly why people listen to the likes of Suicide Silence, because I genuinely can't work out what people see in them.
Im a very moral person and I find both music to be quite degrading, but Rap/Pop is so much easier on my ears to listen to then something that all they do is scream and growl. Its just very unhumanistic and very violent, it makes people seem like they are empty inside. Its very hard to explain but its just very unpleasant to listen to, no offence.
I couldn't explain it. The sound is comforting for some and some just like the way it sounds (I apply to both). On a side note, their older ones are crazy compared to the newer ones. If it was something like Bludgeoned To Death, the newer ones are more orderly and less mad. I understand all of your points, as I said to AMAC, for the majority of those that enjoy it. It's easier on the ears than auto-tuned rap. I disagree with it being un-humanistic, it sounds very natural for me. It happens when I gurgle water in my mouth and then talk :b and what do you mean when you say about them being empty inside. I've listened to deathcore since I was 7-ish and I'm probably bursting with more life than anybody else in my school. Thanks for your views anyways, that's what the threads all about :b.
Empty as in no soul/spirit, that might sound corny but it seems like it for me. Talking about killing, zombies, decaying corpses. Its just all too dark and evil for me.
The following is the lyrics and a video of a song by Lamb of God. Kiba, not all death metal songs are about death, zombies, killing etc. This song has more meaning to it; its about war and opression. Now you've got something to die for Now you've got something to die for Infidel, Imperial Lust for blood, a blind crusade Apocalyptic, we count the days Bombs to set the people free, blood to feed the dollar tree Flags for coffins on the screen, oil for the machine Army of liberation, gunpoint indoctrination The fires of sedation Fulfill the prophecy Now you've got something to die for Now you've got something to die for Send the children to the fire, sons and daughters stack the pyre Stoke the flame of the empire, live to lie another day Face of hypocrisy, raping democracy Apocalyptic, we count the days We'll never get out of this hole, until we've dug our own grave And drag the rest down with us, the burning home of the brave Burn Now you've got something to die for Now you've got something to die for
It's generally for people who've had a fair bit of crap in their lives. My grandpa died when I was 5, then my grandad died this year and now my great grandmother is almost certaintly going to pass away soon. You don't understand how horrible it is to know somebody's dieing. Listening to people singing about it honestly makes you feel so much better. I know people have had it worse than me, but I was very close to both my grandpa and grandad so it's a lot of emotional trauma for a kid who's only 10. Everything I put in bold can cause death or is about death. I believe you stand corrected. EDIT: I still think that the screams LoG do are going to kill their throats.
That is sad indeed and I have lost all of my grandparents and I did know two of them, I was young when they died as well. They both lived with us at different times so I know its sad, but I dont turn to things like this. It would probably make it worse and make me remember. Its just not uplifting songs you should be listening to, its actually quite the opposite. Oh and I have had a fair bit of crap in my life...but I dont let it change who I am, in a negative way.
I don't listen to anything Pop/rap/death metal/heavy metal. I listen to Rock and Alt. rock. Those songs have meanings besides the previous ones mentioned by Haha-No. And Dubstep, It hardly has lyrics. All of my grandparents died when I was young of age. And my 2 of my uncles died recently. You don't see me listening to music that makes you want to "growl" -shiver-.
Exactly, and you are right. You can hardly understand what they are saying, there is plenty of other music that have good lyrics and deep meaning. They dont growl and scream either, dont most have to search up lyrics to understand what there growling?
Most that listen to it don't, no, as they get used to the sound and can work it out. I previously said I'm more bursting with life than anybody else in the school. I do listen to uplifting songs, but I listen to it with Deathcore on the side. It doesn't make you want to growl, it just contains growling. I also didn't say 'Everybody who has had death in their life should listen to deathcore." I said it's DESIGNED for people who have had death in their lives. EDIT: Let's just talk about something else in terms of music, it's impossible to fight a battle when everybody but one other person who isn't even posting is against seemingly everybody else on the forum.
We arent against you, just saying its not comforting listening to that. You may say you are the happiest person in school but we dont know that for sure. Do you think children can listen to this? At least my young cousins like to listen to Pop and R & B because they can dance to it and such.
You should see them, honestly. They're a bunch of zombies. What do you mean 'do you think children can listen to this'. Plus, you can dance to deathcore. It's just a different sort of dancing (flailing arms and swishing your hair around). I respect your cousins opinions in music, and I really don't think any of you are respecting mine.
Zombies are not comforting, children cant dance and listen to this kind of music. Which most dont consider music because you could do anything (bangs drums and growl, flail body around) which is just unhumanistic. Im sorry if you think most of us are against you we are just not into this kind of music. Its just very anarchy-like and just seems wrong.
its time for...Pandas Musical opinions and stuff! i love music! it's half my life i play the trombone, but i love the saxophone! I love jazz band, and pop music. I do not (repeat) DO NOT! like Rapping, its not music! its random yelling with beat, i mean the stereo hearts rap is ok...but thats because its not screaming. like eminem.
Not every single song is about zombies. You seem to have got that into your head, remove it. It is incorrect. What the hell is 'unhumanistic' about flailing your body? If you're not into this kind of music, fine, I respect it. But I don't see why everybody is basically telling my view in music is incorrect. Just because you can't dance to it doesn't remove it's place as music. The high majority of boys my age don't dance to music because it's 'gay' anyway. I don't see how any music can be wrong, if it was, it would most likely by banned. They ban films because they're 'wrong' so they would ban 'wrong' music. I also have no clue why you think songs about death are anarchy-like. Oh my god, thanks for taking the topic off death-metal...
This may be why I think of that when I hear "deathcore" and music like it. Its not wrong but its looked down upon, I definitely wouldnt want my children growing up listening to it, it just seems immoral and depressing. If you feel pain about someone dying then why listen to music about it and have you be reminded of it all the time? Some people find that you dont need talent for music like that, I am not being harsh on you just being honest and saying what people think. You should talk about uplifting music and songs that make you happy and smile. Songs that can be easy on ears as well.
