Picked up a new SD card (16 GB) to replace my original 2GB SD card I got with the 3ds on the day it came out. If anyone here would like to inform me of how to swap info from each SD card, I'd greatly appreciate it (seeing as how this is why I've made the thread). I'll swap stuff out tomorrow. Hope I don't mess up. And thanks.
When I transferred my system information from a 2GB SD to an 8GB SD, all I did was simply copy all the folders from the original SD and paste them in the new SD. As far as I can tell, it completely transferred everything over.
1. Create a new folder on your desktop 2. Insert old SD 3. Copy and Paste all of the files into the folder 4. Remove old SD 5. Insert new SD 6. Copy and Paste all of the files from the folder onto the SD 7. Remove new SD 8. Insert new SD into 3DS Hope this helped .
Just copy everything. Your 3DS won't even feel it, chances are that depending of the class of your card, stuff will load faster.
Yes, probably not due to unauthorized game copying, but with the eShop's "Download Later" option, it shouldn't be any pain to redownload your games.
Course, I lost all those cool pics Kiba sent via swapnote, plus all the stationary. Gotta read through Nikki's notes again.
You're happy he lost all of his stuff? That doesn't make sense. The files should transfer perfectly, swapnotes, ehop, everything should be there. You
How have you lost all of ur swapnote and eshop data? It should be exactly the same after you copy it onto another SD card.
See this is why I didn't want to transfer my stuff from my old sd card to my new one. So I just swap them around even if it is annoying at least I still have all my eshop downloads, and I have a lot.
I used a bigger card from the start, so I wouldn't have this problem! (Yes, you can hit me if you like )
what extra things can you store on a larger sd card, can you have more "blocks" and apps, pics, songs, extra data, demos etc? and also can you transfer dsi ware to your sd card by a computer??
#1, yes. #2, I don't know. I didn't own a dsi. But my best guess would be yes, but I'm just not 100% sure. I'll try resending data tomorrow.
