I have seen this on many forums and also use it on my site. You have rewards for writers but nothing really for members. My idea is maybe have member of the month or contributor of the month or what ever title to like to award someone. Maybe the rewards could be a personal rank, or custom title. Just an idea, what do you think?
Yep. Heheh. Maybe everyone nominates people. The 5 people who had the most votes get into finals. Then everyone not in it anymore gets to vote again. The person with the most votes gets their name on a banner or something. Of course, you not allowed to pick yourself.
It sounds like a decent idea to me. Hopefully it would encourage members to make lots of positive contributions to the forum.
It would help alot and hopefully will get more members posting, and make this the biggest 3DS community.
It would be fun, but maybe you should only get to pick 1 person each month, and you can't vote for them more than once in three months, and it should also take into account the amount of posts, but adam already does that each month for those that post in the 3dswiki, and as well as a title for a month one of them gets a game of their choice. I'm not against the idea of rewards for forum members, but just so we're clear, you are aware that anyone (including you) is able to be rewarded for helping with the wiki, aren't you?
I actually made a thread a while ago. . . Feld0 also said we could do it, but we kind of forgot about it. . .
You are already awarded by going up through the ranks as you post more in the forums. There is potential to give an extra reward for people who have earned a lot of reputation points (without ever asking for them). For now my main focus is on getting regular contributions to the wiki. Once the wiki really takes I'll move my focus back onto the forum.
