I finally decided to get a PS Vita. What sold it to me was the AR or WAAR they look brilliant. Unfortunately I can't do a direct link to the video because I'm on my iPad but if you click on the 2nd one down from the top you will see.

I greatly approve of ^that^ entire post.

Yeah, so that is some pretty impressive AR, and yet this whole Smart AR project looks like it is far from complete.

I cannot wait until I get to try this out for myself, if and when I get the chance. Even though I find it hard to believe that this wouldn't be brought overseas.

The AR can still work even without the card.
    Looks cool.
I wonder why Nintendo didn't do that with the 3DS.
I assume the Vita uses its accelerometer/gyroscope to do that, which the 3DS also has.

The games for it on launch day is brilliant. The best i think out of all of them them is Wipeout2048 and Unchartered. There is something else for the AR, and that's using all the cards and have a life size alien on your table. Looks brilliant, can't find out what game it is though.

What are you having with the PS Vita?

Hay Jack I am an Ambassador member as well (Gary 0344-9309-3264). I am a big fan of hand held systems. I will also buy a Vita. Looking at Japan sales of the system I will probably wait to see if there will be a price drop before buying it. I am very satisfied with my 3DS :)

There was going to be a price drop before launch but they decided not to. If you want the Wi-Fi model it's £229 and with Wi-Fi and 3G is £279 I'm just going for the Wi-Fi model. I'm just going to get a 4GB card aswell.

Just popped out to Gamestation. I pre ordered Unchartered, Wipeout2048 with 4GB memory card. £2 per order and obviously £25 to pre order the console itself. I received a bonus pack with Ltd Edition PS Headphones and some vouchers.

Have you watched the video of the AR Jimmy?

I cancelled my order for 4gb card. It's just not big enough if you look for PS Vita download sizes you'll see. Bit the bullet and bent over for the 16gb, download a few full games and you'll save the cost of the bigger card.

yeah it looks really cool but with the 3g do you have to pay monthly or when you get 3g you have it forever?

With the 3G you have to pay so much a month like you would have on the iPhone or iPad. With my iPad i have £15 for 2GB a month which I need to change.

@ WiiSandy: I would only download the 3 AR games so maybe later on I'll upgrade.

I'm getting my Vita on release day. :)

Isn't spend the bit of Christmas money I got, plus my b'day is in April so the Vita is a treat to myself.
