I wouldnt have given the game a B myself. I didnt mind some of the cheesy dialogue, which was only a small fraction of the one episode I played so far. I am loving the story mode, it is a lot longer then I expected.

Did anyone else get the feeling that Balrogs video was off a little in terms of the sound?

Overall, I enjoyed your video review but I disagreed with many of your assessment of the game.

    1. Dialog. I thought it was well done. I didn't find it as cheesy as you made it out to be. The only time the dialog went in that direction was in-game when you and your partner are making small talk. Even then, I thought it a nice touch by giving the game some humor and you get to know the characters a little more intimately.

    2. Frame rate. There were only 2 times the game became choppy- one when you are in the elevator and two, when you are opening doors that have wheels on them. Those were acceptable because you were entering a new section of the ship and I think the way they implemented, was much more acceptable then if the game kept loading whenever you entered a new area. The only time the choppy-ness was distracting was the elevator scene in the floating city but it wasn't so distracting that it destroyed muy immersion during that scene. I was still in panick mode and the intensity was still very present, trying to keep the B.O.Ds from entering the elevator.

    3. Sound. It should be kept different from dialog. As you said, the sound quality was excellent. It definately helped me be very immersed in the game.

I do agree with you about the AI. Also, you may not have experienced it but I found some glitches in the game such as when a B.O.Ds extremities pop out of a closed door.

I don't agree with your overall score. In my opinion the production value and gameplay receives high marks and is closer to a 10 in my book although I would have to ding it for the frame rate, some glitches found throughout the game, and the biggest culprit being the lame AI.

Great review Balrog:D Resident Evil Revelations definetely deserved a 10 for its length:) Theres just tons to do. Fair enough RER has a few lags like frame rate but still the experience is great:cool:

What is wrong with the AIs? I find the game great so far besides the little lag in which the level is loading. I would rather have that then a loading screen, keeps it all together in a sense. It is definitely not as linear of a game as RE5, and a lot more creepier. In which both are good things.

That review really opened my mind whether to get this or not. I haven't played many of this type before but I will get this at some point as I want to try something really different. I would be happy to buy this at any price range up to £40 especially since it's a lengthy game because short games are not as fun because they don't last.

You haven't noticed that in combat they are ineffective (except for a scripted scene)? I've noticed that when I get through a door and get attacked almost immediately, my partner is not around. He/she shows up after combat. There is some weird delay in your partner coming through the door after you. The other is that they always seem to be carrying pea shooters. They don't draw any monsters towards them. They seem to have very little to no effect against putting down a B.O.Ds.

In short your AI partner suck.

Well you have to go through the door and then enough space to go through as well because it shuts for every person. They cant pass through you so they need room to get in. I have seen some actually go after my partner, then it gives me time to shoot. It is mainly the bosses that will try and target you, but you should know why they did that. I have seen my partner shoot a lot at a target, then I will shoot and they will die. So no, I never seem to have any problems with my partner playing. I do understand that they will target you more and let you kill them, which only makes sense.

If I went to gamestop and bought it right now... They'd return it.
