IGN is claiming they will reveal new information for a HUGE announcement at midnight this friday. What do you guys think it is? If anyone is paying attention to recent news, I'm thinking it might be this rumored "Title Fight". Whatever it is, I hope it just isn't another shooter. The world has too many of those.
I'm expecting Title Fight, but I'd also like a free game, from a choice of say 5. It'd be a nice touch.
It's a shame because a lot of members are quite dismissive of Sony, without giving them a real chance. If you've owned a PS3 for a year minimum and tried most features then I feel you are fair to judge. But many on here aren't in that position. Title Fight would be neat, but I hope Sony also rewards it's fanbase with some cool stuff.
It is Title Fight, now called "Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale". COULD I HAVE THE TITLE CHANGED TO THAT? I really appreciated Laura Kate's Article, which had no bias in it whatsoever. However, I must say, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the communities comments, which are completely filled with bias. (Talking about: and some others.) You guys need to realize that every game ever made has a "clone", whether it be sports, CoD, racing, Mario, LoZ, Pong, Tetris, and others. Oh... My... Gosh... This is the greatest thing ever! I am so excited!! I can't believe Fat Princess is in it! That game is so under-rated. This whole game is going to be awesome! Can't wait till more info is going to be released.
im gonna get this game! i bet the online will be mad fun! and again.. super smash isnt the first party fighting game.. seriously. saying that is like saying every fighting game is a street fighter rip. But at the same time.. any fanboy/girl have very clouded judgement.
People need to think a bit before they write or say anything. Seriously! And yes, the 60FPS online will be GREAT!
Hmm, is Sackboy going to be in it? The only way I'll play it is if my brother gets it(he has a PS3), but I doubt he will.
Seems alright, I dont like the character choices so far. Sly is cool and I loved those games but he cant turn invisible. It isnt a power he has or anything, he is just a thief.

I've watched gameplay, read articles, read people's comments, and done research. I would get this game IF I COULD. I'm actually warming up to the fact it's so much like SSB, because the setup of these games, being similar, will probably have a lot of the great elements as Smash Bros. That's not to say I approve of how closely they are related. And yes people, I understand that there have been multiple cases of similarities in games like this. Does that excuse this game? Or any other 'clone' for that matter? The developer should take the original game's source material, and change a lot of the aspects of the genre (Camera angles, play style, health gauge, etc.) instead of copying that and adding a few more features. In short, this game is VERY similar to the SSB series, but not close enough to keep me from buying it. If I had the funds, of course. I have... obviously, mixed feelings. But you fans can have whatever opinions you'd like. I'm not playing the game, you are. Although this lost Sony a point in my book. Please. Originality. Character choice at the minute isn't gonna sell it for me right now... Until they put Jak and maybe Daxter I'll be waiting.
The good thing is that there will be various characters both old and new and also 3rd party support. I do believe that they would most likely be in it. Sandover Village is also a playable stage. You know there's a new Sly game coming out sometime by the end of the year, correct? No doubt Bently is constructing some invisi-cloaks. I would assume most likely, seeing as how he does also have a playable stage. It does seem similar in some cases, but as discussed earlier, thousands of games are like that. I have confidence that Sony won't try to copy as much as possible. Yeah, he is playable. UPDATE: Possible Ico stage or playable character. I suppose it's possible a version is in development for the Vita, which if one is, Sakurai better work overtime to make sure SSB4 gets out first, but it's more likely that Sony is simply reserving the title in case they ever want to utilize the name in the future. Otherwise, they might have to pay thousands of dollars to obtain the rights to the domain.
I don't think it is either. Still, since both series are targeting similar audiences, I'd think it'd be in Nintendo's best interests to get SSB4 3DS out before Battle Royal Vita. (Also, who thinks it'd be awesome for there to be a Super Smash Bros vs. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal? It'd be cool if Nintendo and Sony could overcome to rivalry and make a joint game like this.)
