This is a thread about some of the saddest gaming deaths in games. I do ask when you post yours please say the game then put the death in spoiler tags. [Spoiler ] Your text here. [/ Spoiler] Without the spacing. Kingdom Hearts 2 Axel's Death This one is more sad if you have played 358/2 Days cause he recalls feeling like he had a heart only when being with Roxas and Sora. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Xion's Death This one was sad, because you basically grew to love the character throughout the games story fighting alongside her. Birth By Sleep Eraqus's Death This is really the only death in the series that felt permanent, mainly because he truly does die and doesn't come back.(Well except his heart, but I won't get into that.) Terra was tricked into killing his mentor who he thought of as his father.(Which is shown in the final Terra boss fight with an awesome Star Wars like, "Father" moment.) Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty Emma's Death This one wouldn't have been so sad if her bird didn't keep saying Hal..... I miss you....
Professor Layton & The Lost Future It is so sad when Claire dies. Quick version of the story: About 10 years ago (I think) Claire (Layton's girlfriend) works in science and helped to create a real, working time machine. But it malfunctioned and she was killed in the explosion. Layton's upset obviously, but manages to move on. Now, we're in the present. To cut a long story short, the time machine managed to transport her to the future before it exploded. Then at the end of the game there's a very sad scene with Layton and Claire, basically she has to go back to the past, and obviously, she will get killed in the explosion. Layton is devestated, and starts crying. AND SO WAS I
I agree, it was sorta sad. Batman Arkham City This one was completely unexpected. I don't think anybody saw this one coming. Many still don't accept he has died. It was a bit sad, and creepy, when he sings Only You during the credits.
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - Bryne/Staven He wanted to have final words with Zelda but he didn't, because the evil man, Chancellor Cole was too busy using the Demon King, Malladus, to kill Toon Link. Then Bryne saved Toon Link and died. The saddest part was that Bryne promise didn't come together...
I think the Kindom Hearts one with Axel you showed is the saddest to me. He was my Favorite charicter!
I knew someone was going to mention Arkham City. Although I haven't finished it yet, I pretty much now the context of what happens thanks to youtube.
