I have a few interesting facts surrounding Nintendo and its hardware:

    1. The iQue Player is the only home console Nintendo has ever released in China.
    2. Hiroshi Yamauchi, Nintendo's third president, cheated on his wife several times at the love hotel chain which he had founded in the mid-1960s. Either his wife turned a blind eye to his behavior, or was unaware of his actions.
    3. The aforementioned Hiroshi Yamauchi bought the Seattle Mariners Major Baseball team in the mid-1990s, despite never having seen a baseball game.
    4. While this has never been proven, evidence suggests that Nintendo was developing a sequel to the Gameboy Advanced which was almost technologically equivalent to the Gamecube in case the DS failed. However, since the DS proved a resounding success, the project was scrapped.

I'll find more later. In the meantime, this blog has a superior list of Nintendo fun-facts.

This thread really belongs in Anything Goes/Forum Games, so I'm moving it.

In the meantime, Biology fun fact: The allele coding for five fingers/toes is actually recessive to the allele coding for six fingers/toes in most animals, including humans.
