Hopefully it won't affect console gaming. I don't want Nintendo to go out of business. Luckily, I know that will NEVER happen.
Well... the main reason I dislike Apple is due to their wildly successful smartphones and introduction of tablets, both of which I fear may one day overthrow the dedicated portable gaming market. Not being a big console gamer (I tend to stick to my laptop for that), it would be devastating if all I had to look forward to were cheap 99 cent puzzle games. Although I also have issue with Apple for a few other reasons. One is that (almost) all their products are grossly overpriced. For example, despite having only a fraction of the market share HP has when it comes to personal computers, they still make several times as much money as their competition from that division alone. That's not right. Also, they get their parts from Foxconn. The less said about that horrible company, the better. I understand your argument, and can see why tablets might appeal to some people, but from experience at my school I know kids don't buy their iPads for social networking. They buy them to play video games and take notes in class; both of which are better accomplished on a laptop. However, for some reason there's this mentality that iPads (and Apple products in general) are trendy, top-of-the-line devices. It just irks me. It is hauntingly similar, although there are a few major differences that will prevent a similar crash from occurring. For example, back in the early 1980s, there were barely any experienced publishers. There are loads now, but they tend to focus their efforts elsewhere. However, if smartphones were to kill dedicated portable gaming devices, then we would see a sudden stream of quality games from known publishers. Plus, the crash was brought about due to a few major events which would be nearly impossible to (accidentally) replicate. And there's the fact that many people actually seem to want this crap. However, even if a crash is unlikely, there are still several ways the App Store could damage portable gaming. I could list some out if anyone's interested.
Any device with the letter "I" before them, were never meant to play only video games. It's not a console or a handheld gaming device.
Good you understand the formula of controversial gaming opinions thread. Oh and most if not maybe all current anime is boring and repetative.
The sad thing is many people think that. A lot of my class use there iPod touch as solely a gaming device (and some music too). A lot of them played games on iPod touch before they got WiFi, so all they did would be listen to music and play games.
I've tried to explain it to people before, but no one listens to me. They weren't made for gaming purposes only.
I think Ridge Racer was quite a good game and I certainly enjoyed it but it's slightly underrated I know it doesn't have online but I think it still deserves about 9/10. Mario Kart 7 didn't turn out to be as good as I hoped. It was good but Mario Kart Wii was a whole lot better even though there was communities. The courses were great, the items were great but there wasn't Shine Runners or Bob-Omb Blast or any of those from the Gamecube MK which I really enjoyed. Also the characters on this were very low in quantity. It was more than the DS version but 16 isn't enough. I would of been satisified with 24 characters and the Mii. I think this is overrated even though it's Mario. 8/10 in my opinion. Super Pokemon Rumble was at the right score as far as I know. I did enjoy it and it can be addictive too but there was something missing and this would really be for Pokemon lovers only but I think it's good still. 7.5/10 is what this deserves. Super Mario 3D Land was definitely the best out of all these four which I have, I really enjoyed the intro and got into the game really well. It has a lot of good features like, stunning graphics, beautiful colours, easy to control, bonus games inbetween levels, challenging bosses, a wide selection of old-new enemies, plenty of items and even a Tanooki suit. The ending was just the best and the after levels are just as fun and more challenging. This deserves 9.5/10 to me.
For some reason I really hate mk wii. It's got the most unfair ai of all the mario karts and a lot of the new courses weren't as good as 7's or ds's. Rainbow road was a bit rubbish as well tbh
Last I recall, Funky Kong wasn't a bike.I was hoping there would be bikes in MK7, but that hope was smashed. Lots of people wanted Funky in it as well.
Well, since they do let you choose the items in the game, you can just go to Balloon Battle and put "Bob-ombs Only", which will make it basically the same as Bob-omb Blast.
Sorry it was badly worded. Then again if funky kong transformed into a funky bike there would be way to much awesome
