I’ve checked the big retailers and for the most part, bundle deals only shave a couple of quid off the standard price. The best deal is at Amazon, where you get a free accessory, free delivery with your 3DS and a game for £10 extra.
The prices above take you to Aqua Blue 3DS offers, but it shouldn’t be hard to find the Cosmic Black model to buy for the same price at any online store.

19/01/2011 -US Price Confirmed – EU Pricing Unveiled
Nintendo set the retail price of the 3DS at $249.99 in the US. The story isn’t quite as clear for Europe. Nintendo announced that shops will be able to set their own prices. It seems that stores are pricing the console at around £230 (€272) while some such as Amazon are undercutting their rivals.
29/09/2010 -Japanese Price Confirmed
At today’s press briefing in Tokyo, Nintendo finally announced the 3DS price in Japan at ¥25,000. That works at just under £200, €220, US$300. A little more than some were expecting but I don’t think it will put many people off.
30/08/2010 – US DSi Price Cuts
The US prices of the DSi and DSi XL have just been slashed by $20, presumably in preparation for the 3DS. Nintendo is probably trying to sell a few more DSi consoles before the 3DS takes all the thunder. We believe this may be part of a clever marketing strategy. You can read more about it here.
23/08/2010 – Price Revealed in September
Previously Nintendo confirmed that they would “reveal all” about the 3DS in September. Today they have confirmed that this will include the price of the console. So there is just 1 month to go before we can tell you exactly how much it will cost.

02/06/2010 – Japanese DS Price Cuts
New colours and a new price
Nintendo have just announced that the DSi XL price will be cut from ¥20,000 to ¥18,000, DSi will be cut from ¥18,900 to ¥16,800 and the DS Lite price is to be set by individually by retailers. The cuts will take place on June 19. As well as that, the first 3 new colours of DSi XL have been announced as yellow, blue, and green.
The price cuts are is more than likely in preparation for the 3DS which is unveiled at E3 4 days before the new colours and prices come in.
There’s no news on it happening elsewhere yet but you can expect to see similar cuts reducing the DSi XL to around £135 and the DSi to around £120 some time soon.
With the DSi XL expected to go down to around £135, I’ve lowered my 3DS price prediction from £169.99 to £159.99.
01/06/2010 – 3DS Price Estimates
I’ve made my first batch of price estimates for the 3DS. The estimates are based on Nintendo’s likely strategy and past price levels.
Part of the reason for the success of the Wii and DS has been their relatively low price point in comparison with the Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP. For this reason you would expect the prices to remain low for their next console. Though they probably won’t include the most powerful processors on the market, you can be sure Nintendo will try to provide unique features at the lowest price they can manage.
On the other hand, Nintendo have been increasing the price of their DS with the various models they released. It would be very unusual to release a brand new console which costs less than the latest version of the previous generation.
This means the 3DS will more than likely cost over £160. In an effort to continue to appeal to casual gamers though, I don’t see the cost rising over £180. While even that figure is high, when you consider Nintendo’s home console costs as little as £130, bare in mind the Wii will be over 5 years old by the time the 3DS is released.

How do you take advantage of this offer? I did it by pre-ordering a second 3DS but when I removed it the prices reverted.

I saw your offer for the 3DS bundle, and noticed that I could get Ridge Racer 3D for £15. I wanted to add this to my order but saw that you had to cancel the existing one and put in a new bundle order. I was going through the order process when I noticed that the estimated delivery date would be the 26th of march rather than the 25th. This may not seem like a big deal, but getting the console on release day is of the upmost importance to me.
Is it possible to take advantage of the bundle and still get my console on the 25th of March? Is it possible to add Ridge Racer 3D for £15 to my existing order? I don’t even need the screen protector or a case.

Friends were saying they might get confused and cancel it or something. I’m on the fence. I think “what harm could it do?” but maybe it COULD do harm! Maybe I should just wait until I see Ridge Racer in a 2 for £30 deal?

The best price at the moment is on game.co.uk. They have just the console for £196.99, but then with super monkey ball 3D for £189.99!! So it’s cheaper to get more!!?? But I would get the deal of a 3DS with super street fighter for only £199.99! Amazing deals, check them out!
in canada the 3ds is 244.99

It’s 250$ in both Canada and the US, but since canadian dollars are worth more, it’s more expensive here in the north! Couldn’t they at least convert the price?
