Animal Crossing Imagery Shows Off Shopping Galore

Retail therapy! The best and often most expensive kind.

From absolute silence, the world is now awash in Animal Crossing: Jump Out information. New media continues to gush forth from the secretive realms of Nintendo, and Nintendo Everything have brought to our attention several screenshots that focus on a few old friends in their shiny new stores.

Sweets!

Yes! We shall buy this tooth-rotting tasty goodness!

Fortuitous!

Fortune cookie! Halloween dresser! Toy car track, even?!

With Tom himself now dedicated solely to real estate, the Nooklings have inherited the family business. It seems the store progression will follow the same path as previous games, with various upgrades as the place makes more revenue.

Trophies!

Looks like the Fishing Tourney might even get an actual award ceremony now!

The game is seemingly set to overhaul every aspect of the series and improve it, such as the image suggesting that participants in village contests will actually get their trophies handed to them in dedicated ceremonies. Add this to the villagers gathering around whenever you, the mayor, plant a tree or open a bridge, and it seems community spirit is at the forefront of the experience.

Redd!

Go ahead, Mayor, buy something from the black market. You’re not a politican unless you’re doing something scandalous.

Doggy!

Do we pay you to drink coffee? GET BACK TO WORK, DOGGY.

It’s not easy to fathom which is harder… having had months of no news on this game, or suddenly having a ton of it and knowing we can’t play it for ages!

Either way, Animal Crossing on the 3DS is seeming to be a genuine step forward for the series. No longer content to be some new human kid in a town full of loopy critters, you’re now the big cheese and calling all the shots. Well, aside from the times you work part-time in the coffee shop.

Guess times are tough if you’ve got to hold down two jobs just to make ends meet…
