Animal Crossing Taking Over Nintendo Direct This Friday In Japan
Also, Japan’s getting an Animal Crossing 3DS XL bundle! Cue envious gnashing of teeth!
You can’t move for Nintendo Direct broadcasts these days. Europe and America have had miniature ones telling of the New Super Mario Bros. 2 downloadable level packs, and tomorrow Europe’s getting a special Nintendo Direct webcast fixated on Nintendo 3DS news.
But it doesn’t end there! Continuing the trend of one-upmanship, Japan is now boasting a Nintendo Direct broadcast of their own. And according to Nintendo World Report, this one’s all about the new Animal Crossing.
It’s also been revealed by Nintendo World Report that Japan are getting several new 3DS colours, including a black one that’s bundled with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. But the big news is that, coinciding with the game’s November 8th release date, Animal Crossing will get its own 3DS XL unit, bundled with a copy of the game!
For now though, the eyes of the world are fixated on the Nintendo Direct Japanese site. Though the language barrier will be present, it’s fizzily exciting indeed to think that Nintendo could finally, finally be lifting the lid on one of their most secretive yet most feverishly anticipated 3DS titles.
Which means plenty of footage of the game in action! Always to be encouraged!
Friday, October 5th is when we can eagerly feast our peepers on this Animal Crossing extravaganza. Times? Depends on your planetary location, of course! But the list kindly provided gives us plenty of clues.

Yikes, good luck those of you waking at 4AM for this! …Or you could just let us do the work for you and report in on our findings, you know?
There is, of course, no word if such a fine specimen as the Animal Crossing 3DS XL will be released in the West. Either way, with Japan getting a several-month headstart on their Animal Crossing game release, things like Nintendo Direct could be all that ticks us over in the long ol’ wait to 2013.
