Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode Website Opens For Japan
Teaser site is unveiled with two, yes TWO entire screenshots!
It’s great to hear that the Digimon series is coming to the 3DS, with the recent PSP title being revamped for an expanded release on our trusty stereoscopic handheld. Of course, we only know of the title’s Japanese release intentions so far, but remain hopeful that the game will go global on the 3DS.
Nevertheless, Namco-Bandai has opened a Japanese teaser website for the game, from which Siliconera has extracted the imagery. Whilst four images are present, technically of course they’re two screenshots, since both the top and bottom screens are represented.
As you can see, the top-left portion of the top screen has the time of day displayed, implying an element of the passage of time can be expected. For the most part though, the top screen is quite free of clutter, since the bottom screen is where most of the information lies. Obviously this wasn’t possible on the PSP with its singular screen, meaning this is the first time Namco-Bandai has shown this side of the game off.
There’s a map and various menus and doodads, but intriguingly there’s a big icon at the top right saying Tweet on it. Could this actually mean…?
In battle, the bottom screen menu changes considerably, as you’d expect. All sorts of icons appear, as well as various options attributed to the shoulder buttons and the Y button.
Meanwhile, your HP, MP and various other statistics are at the bottom-left of the top screen, making it easy to see how much health and capacity for special abilities you have remaining.
Hopefully Namco-Bandai will have more imagery and media from Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode, and a global release date beyond Japan would be more than welcome too.
