European eShop Trailer Shows Off Crimson Shroud, Hydroventure: Spin Cycle

Also, DSi Ware! Yay!

Money’s tight all over at this time of year. We know how that goes. It’s especially bad when temptation lingers around every corner, teasing more succulent currency from the depths of your precious wallet.

Nintendo of Europe has no sympathy for our monetary plights, however! But we forgive them, because it seems some rather anticipated titles are coming to the eShop this week. Gaze your merry eyeballs upon yonder trailer!

Except it’s not yonder, that is far away. It’s actually right here for your convenience. Behold the finery inbound for December 13th!

First on the agenda is Crimson Shroud, the epic strategy RPG that looks to replicate the tabletop RPGs of yore. Or the tabletop RPGs of today, if you’re someone into the thriving industry that’s still going as we speak.

It’s part of the Guild 01 collection of collaborative games by various lauded developers, which was released as a retail title in Japan and broken into eShop chunks for everywhere else. Each character is represented as a gamepiece in a little scene during battle, making for quite a unique feel to the game.

Hydroventure: Spin Cycle, meanwhile, is the sequel to the cult hit on the Wii Shop Channel. It features the player taking command of water and tilting the 3DS to control gameplay progress (meaning no 3D as a result or the image would go all funky). Players can also adjust their form to ice or vapour to solve various environmental obstacles.

DSi Ware gives DSi and, indeed, 3DS owners Wizard Defenders. It features, unsurprisingly, wizards defending from invading forces. By the cunning use of lining up in special arrangements! It’s also one of those rare DS games that require the system to be held sideways.

People of Europe! Do Nintendo’s offerings appease your mighty wallets? Or do you feel your currency is better spent elsewhere?
