Fan Compiles Everything We Know About 3DS
One fanboy-filled forum goes above and beyond in creating the most comprehensive list on the 3DS yet.
It’s no secret that gamers and tech-junkies worldwide are anticipating the Nintendo 3DS, but how many of them are truly up to date with information regarding the system? Some retailer sites have already put up pages with the intention of educating potential customers, but for the hardcore audience, not even a Wikipedia page is comprehensive enough to fuel their impatience. Realizing this, one fan decides to create his own 3DS page.

NeoGAF forum member BDGAME created his own FAQ page, which lists “everything we know about the 3DS”, which is an understatement to say the least. The amount of screenshots and information is enough to to put 56k users in a coma (assuming any of them still exist), but the information contained is invaluable; with sections on the system’s internal workings, a list of upcoming titles, and even a blurb about how the 3D technology works, it’s well worth reading up on, and may contain a few tidbits you weren’t even aware of.
NeoGAF is one of the most prominent gaming communities around, covering virtually every new game release as it’s announced (and even after it’s released in stores). The forum members often get into heated discussions, which is the polite way of saying that they complain endlessly about anything and everything. Regardless, even notable game developers and editors have been known to find their way to GAF, hyping their ongoing projects to the community; don’t assume they receive special treatment, however, as the forum also has an infamous history of chewing out the higher-ups if they fail to deliver on their promises (Denis Dyack, the mastermind behind the commercial flop Too Human, was eventually banned from the forum for being at constant odds with the GAF members).

However strongly the GAF community may voice their passion, there’s no denying that their commitment to gaming is commendable, and often results in expertly created threads. Keep an eye on the faq, as it will no doubt get updated further as more details are revealed.
