Overview
Deca Sports Extreme is a game that, which its name hints, has 10 sports in it. The 3DS version has a variety of activities that include some from the older Wii version as well as new activities to play on the 3DS. The game has the player competing in a variety of different sports in order to get the highest score possible or to beat opponents, depending on which game mode the player has chosen. It was developed by Hudson Soft and published by Konami.
Gameplay
Deca Sports Extreme will use a variety of controls and actions to perform tasks during a sport. The 3D is advertised to provide depth and accuracy to an otherwise 2D screen. Most sports will be able to have the player perform powerful "super" moves, which might range from bowling a strike to knocking an opponent right away off the ring in sumo wrestling. These powerups are unlockable throughout the game along with special equipment. Multiplayer is also announced to be on the game, although the implementation of the feature is unknown at the moment.
Sports
The following sports are all the sports in the game:
- Bowling- This sport has the player bowling along in order to receive the highest score possible.
- Ice Hockey- Being a team sport, the player can control whichever team member to score as many points as possible against the other team.
- Basketball- Also a team sport, this minigame also has the player controlling multiple team members to score as many baskets against the other team.
- Target Shooting (possibly archery)- Another solo sport, Target Shooting has the player shooting darts out of a horn into a target; the closer the dart to the center, the more points awarded. The object of the game is to get the highest score.
- Sumo Wrestling- The player will be facing against one competitor in Sumo Wrestling, with the object of the game being to pin the other wrestler down for at least three seconds.
- Snowball Fight- A team sport, Snowball Fight has the player on one team trying to hit the other team with as many snowballs as possible.
- Snowmobile Racing- The player will be racing in a snowmobile against a multitude of competitors, with the object of the game being to finish first in the race.
- Soccer- Another team sport, the player controls team members to kick in goals against the other team.
- Tennis- Playable in either singles or doubles, the player will be on one side of the tennis court, possible with a teammate, trying to score as many points against opponents.
