Overview
A Final Fantasy franchise game was originally announced via the big list of 73 3DS games.
Over a year later, Square Enix announced Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy, a rhythm action game based around the Final Fantasy world. This game was released on the 16th February 2012 in Japan and is supposedly set for release in Europe in Summer 2012! Also the game will be simillar to previous Final fantasy games featuring Over worlds and dungeons it's just that this game is rhythm. The game was developed by indieszero and published by Square Enix.
In the game you will use the stylus to tap notes during battle, event, and field scenes that use popular final fantasy songs. In order to use a command or not lose hp try not to miss a note.

Plot
The game follows the events of the gods Chaos and Cosmos, a similar plot to Dissidia Final Fantasy for the PSP. The difference between the two is called Rhythm, which gives birth to a crystal that controls music. Chaos causes the crystal to become disrupted, and the only way to return it to normal is to increase a music wave known as "Rhythpo".

Reception
Following upon its release in Japan Bordersdown gave it an 8/10 saying they liked the music selection and that is has enough challenge to keep players wanting more from the game.Also they said this game would appeal to Final Fantasy fans more.

Downloadable Content
Square Enix hopes to release over 50 songs as downloadable content, with eight songs available at release. To commemorate the game's release, the eight initial downloadable songs will for a limited time be cheaper on the release date. The DLC list includes songs that the staff had wanted to put in the game but couldn't fit due to capacity limitations.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is the first 3DS game to have DLC.
