Overview

This game was released to go along with the movie, but the game follows a different story. In this game you will be on many different planets and you will learn a new power on each one. In this game you play as Hal Jordan, who is a new member of 'Green Lantern Corps.' This game will be a treat for fans of the Green Lantern Movie(2011) and the various DC Comics series', because the player will get get to experience what it's like to be their favorite green superhero in their own hands.

A downloadable trailer for the film was offered for free a few weeks after the E-shop was released.

Gameplay

In this game you will use a power ring, which can be used to make things out of green light. This game is a side-scroller that uses the 3DS' 3D effect to good use. The 3D effect makes the Green Lantern universe look stunning.

Reviews

Cubed3 gave this game 6/10. They said, 'There are some shortcomings such as occasional slowdown, especially within combat'. They also said 'If you're a fan of Metroid-style exploration, though, or the Green Lantern series itself, and are prepared to accept some flaws, this is not a bad buy'.

IGN gave this game 4.5/10. They said 'I like the interpretation of Hal Jordan, but Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is just a bad game thanks to the slow gameplay'.
