Overview
Heroes of Ruin is an action adventure game featuring four unlikely mercenaries brought together to form a fearsome alliance to help awaken the Ruler of the Nexus after he is cursed and put into a deep slumber.
This game is planned to release on the 26th of June 2012 in North America and does not have a set date for Europe. Also this games uses StreetPass (as a way to trade items with passing players) and the SpotPass feature(so players can do daily challenges), Voice Chat, and Wi-Fi Connections(drop in/drop out, Co-op online, and locally).
Plot
The story of Heroes of Ruin follows four mercenaries who are attempting to find a cure for Ataraxis, the ruler of the city of Nexus, who is put into a deep slumber from a curse.
Development
The game is being developed by n-Space and being produced by Square Enix. Also Square Enix producer George Wright stated they "were excited to make a game specifically for the 3DS that makes use of its great connectivity and social features." He also stated that the game "combines elements from action adventure and action RPG games. It takes inspiration from a wide range of games but it also brings its own take on the genre." The game also features small puzzles to liven up the gameplay. It was also brought to light that Nintendo worked with n-Space to unlock power from the 3DS to use "for multiplayer issues."
Classes
The game has many different classes for you to play as. When choosing a character, three of the main things that make up your character are their Might, Vigor and Soul. The effects of these are currently unknown, but they will soon be announced. So far the announced classes are:
- Alchitect - An elven mage that uses a staff and a large variety of spells.
- Gunslinger - A gun wielding warrior that carries a large arsenal of ranged and up close pure firepower.
- Vindicator - A large, cat like creature that wields a sword, an axe or any melee weapon that you can think of. It also features a lot of strength for it's weapon's.
- Savage - An immense Human-like beast that relies sorely upon his strength to crush his foes to dust. He uses large blades held in his fist, and also a whip to bring his opponents close to him.
