Overview

One Piece: Ulnlimited Cruise SP is an adventure game and a port of the One Piece: Unlimited Cruise games for the Wii. The game is based on the popular Japanese anime series "One Piece". Both episodes from the Wii version will be available in the 3DS. Most of the content from the games will be in the port, and some new content will be available exclusive for the 3DS.

However in the Europe version only one episode is on the cartridge due to space limitations. This game was developed by Ganbarion and published by Namco Bandai Partners S.A.S.

Characters

Along with having many of the characters from One Piece: Unlimited Cruise, the 3DS version will also have new, exclusive characters Boa Hancock and Emporio Ivankov. Two other characters unique to One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP have been confirmed; they are Diamond Jozu, who can encase himself in diamonds to protect himself in battle and attack with a rock-hard body, and Marco The Phoenix, who can turn into a giant flame to inflict damage on anyone who touches him and he can recuperate with the flame.

Gameplay

One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP will retain the same gameplay from the One Piece: Unlimited Cruise games, but will also use the touchscreen for many things, like knocking over rocks with a pickax.

Three game modes will be available to play in the game:

Story Mode
Survival Mode
Vs. Mode

An extra mission in the story mode, called, Marineford arc, will also be available to play, and will feature Whitebeard, the most powerful person on the island of One Piece. It is unknown whether cutscenes of the devastation Whitebeard will cause will be omitted from the game, due to the recent earthquake and tsunami occurring in Japan.

Release

One Piece: Ulnlimited Cruise SP was originally going to be released in Japan on April 7th, 2011, but that has been delayed. The new release date is dated at May 26, 2011. Release information for the game in North America have still yet to be announced. In Europe the game was released on the 10th February 2012.
