Tetris

Overview

Tetris Axis, is the tentative title of the 3D inspired edition of Tetris specifically made to complement the use of 3D. The traditional 2D puzzle game makes use of 3D effects by making blocks appear larger as they drop to the bottom of the screen, in the style of Star Wars credits. When a line is completed, instead of flashing and disappearing, the blocks explode outwards towards the player.

Game Modes

Tetris axis includes many different game modes that will keep you entertained for a very long time, such as:

Computer Battle - Play against the many different computer opponents. Use combos, multi-line scores and special items to try and beat your opponent.

Marathon - The traditional game, in which you have to form horizontal lines, the more lines you clear the faster and harder it becomes.

Survival - Try to last as long as you can by stacking the blocks in a narrow fit, you have to clear the lines before you get overrun.

Fever - In this game mode, you have to be super fast as you only have a minute to play but will gain high scores.

Jigsaw - The tetriminos all fit in to a big picture, you have to rotate the pieces and stack them to form the picture.

Shadow wide - There is a shadowy shape and as the pieces fall you have to rotate them and fit them into the shadow to see what the shape is.

Fit - The Tetriminos come towards you and you have to turn and rotate them to fit them through the empty spaces.

Tower climber - Use the Tetriminos to create a tower for the climber to get to reach the top.

Bombliss™ plus - In this mode the pieces have bombs in it, when you clear the lines the surrounding areas explode. To advance to the next level clear all of the lines.

Stage Racer - In this mode you have to race through a course to the bottom, in order to do this you have to rotate and move the tetriminos you have.

Capture - Stars are hiding on the screen and to make them disappear you have to capture them with the same colour block.

Master mode - The tetriminos fall faster than the eye can see on this mode, if you are the master you might only be able to clear a few lines!

Sprint - You have to work really fast to clear 40 lines as fast as you can, You will need speed, precision and skill.

AR Modes

There are several game mode that use the 3DS' camera and AR function to play the games on your desk.

AR Marathon - In this mode you have to clear 50 lines as fast as you can some blocks have bombs attached to them. If one of the bomb blocks is on a cleared line it moves the whole field, so you have to move your body to match.

AR Climber - In this mode you have to move 360 degrees around the AR Card and fit the tetriminos around a cylindrical shape to allow the climber to reach the top.

Multiplayer Modes

Tetris Axis features online capabilities, that allows you to play with friends. You can play with up to 7 other players in different game modes.
