Overview
The Sims 3 is a game in which the player creates a virtual character, and controls their life. This includes the Sim's social life, their home, their family, and their career. The Sims 3 has also been released for computer, Wii, DS, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and other consoles.The game first appeared on the PC in 2009 from there it enjoyed many expansions and stuff packs. EA has previously taken great interest in DS handheld series releasing many titles like: sims 2, Sims apartment pets, Sims 2 pets, Sims castaway and even Sims 3. when the 3DS was announced this game was on of the first games to be confirmed.
Gameplay
The game revolves around the player controlling another character with a virtual life, called a "Sim". Just as in real life, Sims will need to be fed, bathed, and rested to live their daily lives, and can take in expenses with the cost of housing, but Sims will also be able to choose from jobs to receive money. Over time, a Sim will raise a family and receive upgrades in housing and lifestyle. Most of the game is spent choosing from the many options the player has to lay out the roadmap for their Sim's lives, from the house they buy to the clothes they wear every day. The player also sets personal objectives; only loose, basic objectives are given by the game.
3DS Features
The Sims 3 will allow users to take a picture of themselves using the 3DS camera, and import their face into the game creating a Sim look-a-like. The game also makes use of the 3DS's motion sensing technology, with "Karma Power", which is where, when the user shakes the device, money will fall from the sky in the game and into the Sim's pockets. However, if used to much, it can cause an earthquake. the game includes many futures like it previous releases for the PC or consoles. As before we take controls of a Sims or a whole family we build them a house, get them jobs, interact with other Sims, learn new skills and lots more.
Reception
The Sims 3 has generally received mixed or negative reviews, accumulating an aggregate score of 51/100 on metacritic. The game was given a score of 27/40 from Japanese magazine Famitsu, one of the lower scores that has been given to a 3DS game by the magazine. It was given a score of 20% by Official Nintendo Magazine, currently the lowest score given to a 3DS game by the magazine. The review described The Sims 3 as "Atrocious" and an "utter disgrace".
Release
The Sims 3 was released alongside the North American and European releases of the 3DS, on March 27th and 25th, 2011, respectively.
Many retailers bundled the 3DS console with The Sims 3 as they believed that they wouldn't be able to shift the copies of the game that they had already bought. As a result of this, some GAME uk stores bought these bundles from supermarkets and sold them to their own customers as pre-owned consoles.

I love the sims 3 :*
I have Sims 3 on my computer, as much as I love the sims, everything can get… repetitive. I actually enjoyed Sims 2 for the PSP since you could literally control where your character walked and it had an interesting storyline. I’d really like to see that happen again (the walking around part at least).
i dont know about sims3,i once got sims 2 castaway on my dsi and it succkeddddddd!!!!!!!
@keana well that’s because it was on the ds not the 3DS. It will be better in 3D
heyy!!:) the sims is rubbish on psp it woz disgusting!!!! the sims secret agents on nintendo wii woz good but people who are thinkin or gettin it on psp my avice is DO NOT BUY IT IT IZ A HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!!!
OKAII THANX FOR READIN PEACE OUT:)
Thats “MySims agents”. It’s a didn’t game series to “The Sims”. “My Sims” is more targeted at a younger audience.
I meant to say different >.<
@Knight$tar
Your comment is so immature
You criticized a game without giving out any insightful analysis about the game, you didn’t even bother to specified which Sims on PSP you are talking about. The overuse of Capslock and the numerous amount of typo, leet and net speak simply reinforged the fact of how immature you are
You disgust me, truly
@Knight$tar
Here you go. I took the liberty of spell-correcting your God awful post.
Hey! “The Sims 2″ is rubbish on the PSP. It was disgusting! “Mysims: Agents” On the Nintendo Wii was good, but people who are thinking of getting [any Sims games] on PSP, My advice is: Do not buy it! It is a horrific experience! Okay, thanks for reading! Peace out!
That was horrifying.
@keana
that’s because it was the “castaway” edition. Get the normal game and it will be fine.
loved the sims 3 on ds but in 3d and the rating has gone up to m i don’t think i will be getting this sim game.
