Ingenious 3DS Music Video Celebrates Console, Brings Smiles
One enterprising Youtuber has pieced together a video-music remix of 3DS sounds constructed entirely from awesomeness.
Sometimes, folks, you just have to take a deep breath, sit back, stare into space and smilingly marvel at the ingenuity of mankind.
Kotaku once again bring news to the fore, though this time it’s of a less diappointing and instead rather uplifting and jolly variety. Having perused the video in question itself, we feel duty-bound to share its genius with you too, as this isn’t to be missed!
Trip-hop composer and concocter of grin-giving tuneage Jeesh has invested some time in celebrating the Nintendo 3DS by means of using it as everything from a percussion instrument to an electronica creator.
This spellbinding feat was given a splash of remix magic, forming both a catchy trip-hop jingle that speaks of Nintendan dreamscapes and a groovy video to go with it, as seen above.
Dim3nsions, to give the remix its true title, initially trickles into life with playful slaps of 3DS plastic and game-card tapping. Before too long, however, familiar sounds are contorted and spun in grin-inducing ways, coupled with familiar imagery that reminds us all just what a little slice of happiness we’ve got snugly sat in our pockets as we go about our day.
And you are taking your 3DS with you everywhere, right?
It’s certainly an inspiring sight, and something to add to the bewilderingly growing range of things people are using their 3DS systems for these days.
What’s staggering here is that, aside from bass, hi-hats and rides (by the creator’s own confession), everything you hear is a direct result of the 3DS software and hardware itself. We have to wonder, how did this come about? Did Jeesh drop his unit one time, hear the sound it made, and have a eureka moment?
Who can say? It’s catchy as anything, though, and available for download. So we can all put a 3DS remix into our 3DS systems and be all meta and such!
