Media Create Sales are in and the 3DS Leads the Pack

The Media Create sales from Japan are in and the 3DS has seen a rise in sales this past week and it looks like the culprit is Kingdom Hearts 3D.

The 3DS continues to reign supreme in the land of the rising sun with the help of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance this week. While normally a dominating force in Japan, the 3DS really took the lead this week with a lead of nearly 100,000 units to the closest consoles and handhelds. Kingdom Hearts 3D has helped this by selling 213,579 units in the first week beating out the nearest new games by over 120,000 units. It is nice to see Kid Icarus: Uprising hanging in there as well with 47,179 units sold this week. Nintendo has taken 10 of the top 20 games this week with the other ten all on Playstation (poor Microsoft). You can see the software sales figures and consoles sales figures below.

I am pretty happy to see that that the 3DS is still doing so well, though it isn’t really surprising I suppose. There has been a lot of fantastic content released on the system these past several months and gamers can’t seem to get enough of it. Hopefully Nintendo can keep up this breakneck pace by showing off some new games for 3DS this E3 that will keep gamers buying the handheld by the droves.

      Make that “PS3, PSP, PSV and PS2 together”… ๐Ÿ™‚

KH3D sales are a disappointing though.

The Wii’s time in the sun is now over. PS3’s time. ๐Ÿ˜›

It’s kind of funny that the PSP is still getting more sells than the PSVita, though.
