Level-5′s “The Little Battlers” RPG Series is Rumored to Be Coming to the 3DS
Nintendo fans could be battling their little figures in full 3D… in Japan, at least.
Level-5 is a huge developer of quality Japanese games, many of them falling into the RPG category. Level-5 is the company behind such huge titles as Dark Cloud, Professor Layton, White Knight Chronicles and they’ve even been behind a few of the Dragon Quest games, and the highly anticipated Studio Ghibli RPG Ni No Kuni. While the company already has a few upcoming 3DS titles, including Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney and the new IP Time Travelers, it’s been rumored that in an upcoming issue of Coro Coro Comics, a title in their “Little Battlers” RPG series will be revealed for the 3DS.

The Little Battlers is a well received Japanese only (at least for now) RPG series where you control little plastic models known as “LBXs” in real-time battles. The rumored 3DS title is currently known as “The Little Battlers Experience Baku Boost”, and is presumably an updated version of “Little Battlers eXperience Boost”, which was released on PSP late last year.
No real details have actually been revealed about the game yet, or if it’s even confirmed to actually be happening, as the actual issue of the magazine is not out yet; however if is, only time will tell if we’ll ever see it outside of Japan. Level-5 does tend to bring a lot of their games to the rest of the world, so you never know.
