Mario Kart 7: Every Confirmed Item!
Items are what make Mario Kart, and there looks like there is going to be a fair bit of change in the line up for Mario Kart 7 – here’s your definitive guide to what we know so far!
It’s been a bit mad as far as the quantity of news is concerned over the couple of days, but we’ve now got a pretty good idea of the item line-up for Mario Kart 7 – including a couple of rather interesting additions.
The New:
The Fire Flower has been around for ages – since Super Mario Bros. itself, in fact, but it hasn’t before made it into a Mario Kart game. We got near in the GC’s Double Dash with a fireball item, but this is it’s debut. It will allow you to fire fireballs forwards and backwards for a short time, and looks like a pretty powerful item – expect to only see this one in 6th downwards.
Making its Mario Kart debut alongside its return in Super Mario 3D Land is the Tanooki Leaf. We haven’t had this particular item before, but it has been spotted on the item carousel, and could potentially be similar to the feather from the SNES’ Super Mario Kart. The feather allowed an enormous jump, so perhaps with the addition of hang-gliders this one could further your glide?
Interesting one this. The Number Seven has also been spotted in the carousel, apparently from the game’s logo. We’ve got absolutely no idea what it can do, but it does seem rather important considering that it’s featured in the game’s logo, so maybe it could be some sort of super-powerful ability?
The Blue Spiked Shell (or Angelfire as I like to call it!) has become a Mario Kart staple in the more recent games, pleasing those with super-talented siblings, and inherently annoying such siblings. There’s a slight change with it this time though – it no longer has wings. We don’t yet know whether that means that it will travel along the ground MK64 style, or if it will just fly anyway.
The Old:
All the staples look like they’re returning – Banana Skins to slip up opponents behind you, Mushrooms (regular and the re-usable gold variety) for a quick speed boost, Green Shells for basic attacks, and Red Shells to irritate your friends with guided missile shots.
We’ll also see the return of more powerful items including the Star (a short burst of invincibility), Bob-omb (destroy opponents in a catastrophic explosion), Bullet Bill (zoom past the competition from last place), Blooper (cover the screens of players in front of you with ink) and the Lightning Strike (shrink people who are in front of you).

I wish there were at least a few more new powerups, but we are in effect actually getting only 3 new ones, seeing as how the spiked shell was in Wii.

My Step Dad has something against Luigi’s name he thinks it sounds like the owegee board I like to call it the Ojai board. So he bands me from playing all Mario games. My life sucks.
Does anyone else have the same problem or has a friend in the same situation? Do reply.

Also, you know in casino fruit machines, three sevens is the best combo? What if it’s like that? Ge three sevens to unleash some super-powerful ability or attack.

Sam Walker I do sometimes play Mario Games at my Nana and Pops House but I keep them there I would like to play them at my Parents House.
That sort of wheel often has a 7. Maybe it’s a place-holder?
I know what the 7 item will do!
1. in casinos, when you get three 7′s, you win a lot of money, or coins.
2. In MK7, you get coins (!) to speed up.
3. therfore, the 7 item will give you a buttload of coins so you can go superfast.
Anyone agree?

The leaf is so if you go fast you automatically glide anywhere with no ramps.

The 7 is an item because this is the 7th game. 7 is seen across the world as a lucky number as such I’m guessing it will give you luck, like increase your chances of winning by increasing your speed or decreasing your opponents speed etc.

Thanks for all the ideas guys but I just wanted to Know If there are other people out there who aren’t allowed to Play Mario Games for the Same reason.Heres the Story about the Day My Brothers Friend Mentioned Luigis Name and I was banned from playing Mario.
Friend,brother and I were about to play guess what Super Mario Kart Super Circuit on multiplayer and Friend said I’m going to play as Luigi Step Dad overheard him saying these words Step Dad flipped out and threw SMKSC and My precious Super Mario Land 2 6 Golden Coins in the trash. And ever since then he thinks Mario Games are evil. Well theres one git who never actually played Mario in his entire life. lets not talk about this subject anymore.

I have sneaked in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart DS and played them both but I always had the fear they my Parents might catch me playing it as well if you read a comment I made earlyier on In I keep most of my Mario Games are at My Nana and Pops house.
I will tell you the Mario Games I do Have= Super Mario Land not eshop version Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 both 100% complete. Super Mario Bros.DS and Wii and 3DS ambassadors Version which means I have Wrecking Crew and Mario and Yoshi.Mario Kart GBA soon Super Mario Kart SNES VC,Mario Kart DS,Game Cube and Wii Paper Mario VC Super Mario Bros VC Super Mario Bros 2 VC Super Mario Bros 3 VC. I suspect that the “7″ item may give the ability to gain the benefits of all of the gadgets that you can equip to your car eg. glider, propeller as there MIGHT be 7 gadgets, but this is just an assumption.
The number ’7′ allows you to use every item thats available in the game, allowing you to shoot a random item each time(glider not included)

Also, you can now do tricks like on the Wii and tilt the system too. Gliding and racing under water, gets a typical 3D over haul
