Namco-Bandai Will Make a Tales of the Abyss Announcement Soon

Few fan bases out there are as passionate and outspoken as the “Tales of” fan base; Namco-Bandai has disappointed many of it’s fans outside of Japan in the past by refusing to localize a large number of the games in their highly regarded “Tales of” series. Earlier this year, however, Namco-Bandai seemed to finally be making up for some of it’s past disappointments by announcing that both Tales of Graces f for PS3, and the Tales of the Abyss 3D port of the 3DS would be localized in North America and Europe.

Shortly after making this announcement, Namco-Bandai went all but completely silent on the subject, revealing only that the Tales of the Abyss port would not make it to North America before the end of 2011 (it is still on track to hit this year in Europe, however). Well, it seems now that Namco-Bandai are finally ready to make an announcement concerning both games, one that many are speculating will finally reveal the official release dates for both games; this announcement is expected sometime within the next couple of weeks.

Both games are highly anticipated, and while Tales of the Abyss may have seen light outside of Japan before on the PS2, it is certainly one of the most highly rated of the series, and is expected to be met with much fanfare in auto-stereoscopic 3D. Are you excited to hopefully hear definitively when you can get your hands on this must-have 3DS RPG?
