New Tales Of The Abyss 3D Trailer

Now that we know it’s coming, this new trailer is only all the more exciting. Check out what you’ll soon be playing in English (PS2 version notwithstanding).

In case you missed the good news, Tales of the Abyss’ 3DS remake is heading to North America this year. In celebration, feast your eyes on this newest (and lengthiest) trailer of the game:

In-between scenes of high-pitched Japanese voices screaming in your ear (another reason to look forward to the eventual dub localization), you’ll see bits of gameplay that show off the bottom screen’s touchpad feature for issuing commands. You’ll also be given a look at the game’s quirky cast of characters, along with some gorgeous animation that still holds up today. Stay past the logo and you’ll get an amusing red-band warning on how the game is only compatible with a 3DS, and none of Nintendo’s previous double-screen handhelds.

Tales of the Abyss 3D is scheduled to hit Japan on June 30th. Now that we know it’s coming to North America, it’s just a question of how soon following the original Japanese release.

This looks great!! things are shaping up for some great releases coming to the 3DS, i’m glad i bought mine from day one!!!

and one thing i would like to say is even though you think that it sounds like “In-between scenes of high-pitched Japanese voices screaming in your ear” i actually prefer the japanese voices over the dub usually. it seems to me to retain the emotion that was there. i like my anime that way too. sometimes i think that we are lazy in the west and can’t be bothered to read subtitles. I think that if we did the games would come here alot faster.

it would certainly take less time to just do a txt translation (which they have to do anyway) than do the voice overs too. maybe they could start releasing a limited edition versions with the japanese voices and english txt, i don’t know if anyone else would like it that way but i would. and i would think that they would make it over here faster as well. just my opinion

i agree…but if they pick voices that go well with the character i dont mind verry much…

  8. Gleeok says:

    AWESOME! i can’t wait!

  9. Yewdiel says:

I would actually like an undubbed version

  10. Marquis says:

Eh, I’d rather have a dubbed version. I don’t really mind dubs unless the voices are really enough to make your ears literally bleed. (Like what happened with Chaos Wars *shivers*)

  11. Luna says:

YES THEY SHOULD DEFINATELY DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!^O^

    @guyverunit
i agree, eng. dubs sometimes ruin it that’s why i try to get jap dubs. with eng. subs (like pokemon in japanese-english subs, games with muti-audio prefer jap.) if it’s from japan, leave the dub japanese, if it’s in the U.S. then leave it in english.
    Original RULES!!!!!

  13. Chiddo says:

No further conclusions, I’ve gat to play the game. Case close.

  14. willow. says:

not going to be launched in the uk then ?

  15. Seles says:

I’m still waiting for gamestop to make this available for pre-order! Now all they need to do is do the same for Tales of Symphonia and I’ll have both my favorite Tales games to re-play!
