News Blip: Tales of the Abyss Pushed to 2012 (NA)
Another third-party title gets bumped back
Somehow overlooked yesterday was the news that Namco will be pushing back the highly anticipated Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS. This stunning JRPG joins the growing list of fan favorite third-party games launching in the 2012. For those who don’t know, Tales of the Abyss is a direct port of a PlayStation 2 title of the same name which was released back in 2005. The game is the eighth installment in the Tales series and was met with much critical acclaim. Featuring a colorful cast and one of the best JRPG battle systems in recent memory, it’s certainly going to be a must-have handheld title in 2012. The game is currently out in Japan, but it seems the localization process is taking longer than expected for North America. Although Europe is still slated for a November 11th release, it wouldn’t be surprising to see that date get bumped back as well. With games like Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns also pushed to 2012 it’s starting to look like third-party publishers just weren’t ready for the 3DS. At least we know 2012 is going to have some great games. For more on Abyss, check out this Comic-Con trailer.

At least it is still coming out, I love the Tales franchise and I’m so glad that it is still going to be released.
maybe they are delaying it because One piece 3DS is coming in November?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
This AND Twin Villages? D:
Overclocked better last me a while T.T
Ah well. I live in Europe. Ive had a lot of dissapointments in gaming lately.
Don’t complain about Twin Villages. AT LEAST YOUR GETTING IT!
Acey sad
Want tales of the abyss. It will so obviously be delayed.
I’m glad to see the game is coming even if a bit later as well… Maybe they can use the extra time to polish it and make it as pretty as it can get. Also loving SMT:DSO, I have been playing it non-stop =w=
Tale of Two Towns has absolutely no confirmation from Natsume that it’s being pushed back, this rumor has gone too far.
I guess finding uusefl, reliable information on the internet isn’t hopeless after all.
