Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Release Dates Confirmed
November for Europe and the Americas alike! A CGI trailer’s been released, as has the splendid 3DS box art. Zoom-zoom!
Racing on land, sea and air may not be a new concept on 3DS thanks to Mario and his motley gang of mischief-makers, but that hasn’t stopped Sonic The Hedgehog and his cohorts from having a crack at it for themselves. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is coming soon for HD consoles and handhelds alike, featuring SEGA’s finest taking the wheel for some all-terrain racing.
The box art for the game on all formats, not that it differs altogether much from what’s shown above, has been released on the SEGA Blog. Depicting Sonic outrunning the pack with his splendid transforming racing machine, it’s all very cool and SEGA-blue-tastic.
Those of you wondering when you can get your happy paws on the title, be at ease! There are a few months still to wait, but Sonic Stadium has declared that the game will release this November.
More specifically, the game will release on 16th November 2012 in Europe and 20th November in North America. Presumably that’s the game’s release date across all formats, so unless SEGA later announce that the 3DS version will wait a little longer, that seems to be set in stone!
There’s also a new trailer doing the rounds. It’s not format-specific, since it doesn’t actually show any game footage whatsoever, but by golly it’s a riotous racing treat for the eyeballs.
It also contains a pleasingly high quantity of Vyse from Skies Of Arcadia, proving that fanservice is well and truly the order of the day. Also, any game that features a pirate in a racing car is immediately splendid by default.
Befittingly, Dr. Eggman also gets some comeuppance during the course of the race. You’d think he’d have learned to just stop picking on woodland animals with attitude by now.
Will you be snagging yourself a copy of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed in November?
