Tales of the Abyss English Trailer

Namco has released the first English trailer for the 3DS port of Tales of the Abyss. Given how the company rarely tosses NA/EU Tales fans a bone, you’d best savor this morsel while you can.

The game promotes some of the new 3DS features, including the touch panel as well as 3D-designed Mystic Artes. It also shows off some of the voice acting by poorly splicing together random lines that sound very confusing out of context. The localization will apparently be unchanged from the PS2 original, but few people complained the first time around, so it shouldn’t have any trouble holding up today. The animation is as lovely as ever, and should look much nicer without compression on the 3DS handheld.

Tales of the Abyss 3D is scheduled for release in both North America and Europe later this year. In the meantime, you can check out a new batch of English screenshots here.
